Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions set out the agreement between you (The Customer) and Biz Cab Ltd. Completion of your booking with us indicates your unconditional acceptance of the terms and conditions set out in this Agreement.

  1. Definitions  
    • Biz Cab Ltd is a Maltese limited trading company (registration number: C 78873) and offers a transportation business to individual and corporations in Malta. The company’s address is 89, St Elena Street, Sliema, SLM 2134, Malta.
    • In the terms below ‘you’ and ‘your’ means any individual, or business who makes a booking with us.
  2. Booking
    • You must allow sufficient time when booking your taxi to allow for the purposes of your travel. BizCab Ltd shall not be responsible for any delay caused by your failure to allow enough time to reach your destination or if the passengers are not ready for collection at the booked time.
    • If you not specify otherwise, we will assume that the vehicle that you require will cater for 4 passengers or less. Please note that a child, no matter what age, counts as one passenger.
    • If you need to transport a wheelchair please specify this at the time of booking.
  3. Prices
    • Biz Cab Ltd will provide you with a quotation based on the information that you supply us with. BizCab Ltd may amend the quotation if there is any material change to the original itinerary, the number of passengers, or the type or size of vehicle required. All prices are in Euros (€).
    • All journeys originating at an airport (which are not return journeys where BizCab Ltd has taken you to the airport) must be paid before the date of travel.
  4. Payment
    • Before each confirming of a booked journey, a banking pre-authorisation is done on the client’s credit card, to make sure that the account is solvable.
    • At the end of the journey, the total cost is debited.
    • During each journey, the client should ask the driver for the cost of each modification he wishes to make.
    • The payment is processed through an electronic secured payment process by the company Adyen. This process allows transactions to be secured with European banking security norms, through an encrypted system.
    • The secured system allows the client’s banking details (card number, expiration date…) to be safe and not intercepted by a third party.
    • By giving his banking details, the client accepts by default and without conditions that the company proceeds with the secured transaction. The client therefore allows his bank to debit his account given the information received by Biz Cab Ltd.
  5. The journey
    • You shall be responsible for the behaviour of all the passengers in the vehicle during the journey. You will be charged €50 to cover cleaning costs in the unlikely event of the vehicle being soiled by any passenger.
    • Eating, drinking and/or smoking in the cars is not permitted.
    • Biz Cab Ltd will not carry more passengers than its insurance or licensing allows.
  6. Cancellations/Refund policy
    • If you need to cancel your booking, please contact Biz Cab Ltd as soon as possible via support@biz-cab.com or by phone (+356) 2778 1636.
    • You can also cancel your journey directly through our mobile app or website by accessing your current or pending bookings on your dashboard and selecting the fare you wish to cancel.
    • Cancelling a journey is free until a driver has been assigned for advance bookings (confirmed through the text message stating ‘Your Cab is en route’) and until 5 minutes after booking for immediate bookings (confirmed through a text message).
    • Once this period has ended, you may still cancel your journey, however it will be at a charge: €10 (including all taxes).
  7. Liability
    • Biz Cab Ltd shall use all reasonable endeavours to get you to your destination on time, but shall not be liable for any loss due to delays caused by road, traffic conditions or other circumstances beyond its control on the journey.  Under no circumstances shall Biz Cab Ltd be liable (in contract, tort or otherwise) for any loss of profits, business or for any indirect or consequential loss whatever.
    • All luggage is carried entirely at your risk.
    • Biz Cab Ltd is not liable for any goods left behind in its vehicles
  8. Termination
    • Biz Cab Ltd will refuse or terminate any booking with immediate effect if it places any driver or vehicle at risk of damage, violence or abuse by you or by any passenger in your party and we will ask all passengers to vacate the vehicle as soon as it is safe to do so.
    • No refunds will be given if the journey is terminated part way through the hire.
  9. Disputes
    • This Agreement shall be construed in accordance with Maltese law and you and Biz Cab Ltd each agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Maltese Courts in respect of any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with this Agreement.
  10. Conveying of children
    • For Health and Safety reasons Biz Cab Ltd are unable to provide any form of child seat. If you require a child seat for your journey it would be the child’s parent/carers responsibility to provide one and to fit the seat in the vehicle and to secure the child. If you are booking a return journey and have your own child seat, the driver who carries out your booking will store your child seat for the return journey, please note that the installation of the child seat must be carried out by you.

  12. Miscellaneous
    • Biz Cab Ltd may change these terms and conditions at any time by posting changes online.  Please review these terms and conditions regularly to ensure that you are aware of any changes. All existing bookings will be at the rate quoted or applicable rate in effect at the time of booking.
    • Biz Cab Ltd shall store, process and use all information regarding your personal details in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998.
    • This Agreement and any accompanying quotation represents the entire agreement between you and Biz Cab Ltd in relation to its subject matter.  If there is any discrepancy between the terms of this Agreement and the quotation, the terms of this Agreement shall prevail.
